Memory Capacity: Compare the Several iPod Touch Versions

The different versions of the iPod touch have varied capacities. The common device is the one having eight GB memory capacities. The amount of data that a device can hold is depended up on the memory of the device and the adaptability to memory expansion. The highest memory capacity available with the iPod is the 64 GB. Depending up on the capacity of these devices, there are three versions in the market and they are the 8 GB, 32 GB and the 64 GB iPod touch. Let us do a comparative study of the ability of each of these to hold data. It is beyond any doubt that the 64 GB device is having the highest capacity among the three. This comparison is not just based on the GB rates. This comparison is based on the amount of songs or images and videos that each device can store in them.

The starting point or the basic version is the 8 GB iPod. By using the word basic does not mean that it is a lower version. All the three versions of the iPod are having the same specifications except for the memory capacity. Greater capacity means that the user can hold on to everything that he gets. It provides some sort of a feeling of freedom. This comparison has to be based on three parameters. The first one is the number of songs. The capacity is in the order of 1750, 8000 and 14,000 respectively for the 8, 32 and 64 GB iPod touch. Regarding the amount of video, the values are 10 hours, 40 hours and 80 hours respectively. The battery backup and some other features like that of the type of screen, resolution, shape and size are the same for all the three versions. At present, the iPod touch is not just a device that plays songs. It can do much more with the applications installed in it.
